Alice Bintou El Hassane Sidibe

Born in Senegal, I have been influenced by French culture since birth through regular family trips to Paris.

I am a product of my Senegalese culture, the influence of my mother, a collector of world art, the open-mindedness of my university-educated parents, and my school and university education. I have always felt the need to paint in order to express my feelings, experiences, opinions, ambitions, and views on society and current events, and to fulfill myself. I am sensitive to colors, but my choices always reflect my feelings about the situation I am painting.

With a classical education at a renowned school that placed great importance on art in my curriculum (Cours Sainte Marie de Hann), I have exhibited my work in Montreal at festivals and events organized by the Côte des Neiges City Council. I am also a participant in the OFF section of the 2024 biennial under the theme of Batik at the Grand Théâtre de Dakar and a selected member of the Singulart Gallery.
