Cem Özdel

Beginning his career in 1999, Cem Özdel is an award-winning photojournalist who has traversed the globe through his lens. He has documented all facets of life in over 110 countries, ranging from conflict zones such as Darfur and Syria to major sporting events like the World Cup and the NBA Finals. With photographs published in global media outlets such as TIME, The New York Times, and The Guardian, Özdel served as the official photographer for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye from 2016 to 2023.

The recipient of 28 national and 3 international awards, the artist possesses a wide range of technical expertise extending from underwater photography to the skies (drone and paragliding). Özdel is currently sharing his global experience and documentary photography vision with art enthusiasts in Dakar, where he now resides.
