Idrissa Mbengue
Born in 1986 in Dakar, Idrissa Mbengue is an artist passionate about the interactions between humans and their environment. The son of an independent artist, he began his career branding in advertising before training in the visual arts at the Taagat school under the guidance of Professor Weber. His work explores the themes of architecture, buildings, lack of space, and environmental impact. Idrissa has exhibited several times in Senegal and abroad (Morocco), including at the 2019 and 2023 art fairs and the 2022 Dakar Biennale in 2022. He is an art therapist at the Diamniadio Children's Hospital. The recipient of several awards, he lives and works in Dakar, where he continues to question and rethink our relationship with the environment through his art.
