Shalina Art
Shalina (Adia Niang) develops a singular artistic practice in which the rigor of her expertise in project management and finance merges with an instinctive exploration of form. Self-taught in spirit, her work takes on a new dimension at the Village des Arts in Dakar: two years of intensive immersion alongside Baba Ly forge a mature visual identity, transforming intuition into a structured and masterful technical approach.
Through the use of recycled organic materials, particularly wood residues, she turns her observations into living works that explore the depths of our being, the emotions that drive us, and the inner worlds we construct. Her bold abstraction captures environmental resonances and invites unfiltered introspection. Far from being static, her works act as sensory bridges between the density of matter and the fluidity of feeling.
