Tony Okujeni
Tony Okujeni is a graduate of the Auchi Polytechnic School of Art and Industrial Design (Nigeria). He first worked as an illustrator for the "African Guardian" newspaper before opening his own studio.
Okujeni was inspired by the works of Van Gogh. His favorite subjects are rooftops and crowded markets, where movement is conveyed by heavy impastos of the palette knife, a technique that makes his works very popular.
He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Nigeria, Morocco, France and Senegal. His works can be found in both private and public collections.
