Born in Senegal, Youssoupha Sy, better known as Youart_221, is an artist whose work is steeped in his culture.

Highly creative from childhood, his admission to the National School of Fine Arts in Dakar in 2018-2021, where he graduated at the top of his class, led him resolutely towards a professional artistic career.

The year 2021 marks a turning point for Youart_221, who creates his own style using abstract forms painted in bright colors. These forms occupy both the background of the canvas and the interior of emotions.

Indeed, at the heart of this new language lies a unique relationship between the artist's visual essence and the viewer, forcing the latter to become physically involved, to move around, to squint in order to recompose the image.
